About the Faciltator

Indigo Goodson-Fields is a poet, writer, facilitator and birder based in Brooklyn. Her forthcoming book, entitled Bird Song: An Anthology of Black Birders is about the importance of birding in the lives of six Black birders across the U.S. and will be published by OR Books in Fall 2026.

Objective

Join us for some slow birding! Like the migratory species making their way south to their wintering grounds, we will take a leisurely pace through Prospect Park. We will be mindful about what we notice and the feelings that arise while outdoors. As we transition from Summer to Autumn, think of the practices you would like to preserve, the parts of yourself you want to hold on to and the ones you must shed for the winter.
