Greenway Stomp

A fall festival with food, kids’ and adult activities, a children’s costume parade, and bluegrass music! Costumes for all are encouraged!

Join Brooklyn Greenway Initiative for a one-of-a-kind community celebration this fall! We’re hosting our second-ever Bluegrass Jam and community festival in the scenic, historic setting of the Greenway Botanical Garden at the Naval Cemetery. This family-friendly event will feature live music, local food and drinks, and festive fall activities.

Local blue grass musicians will include: Musicians including Christian Apuzzo( @oneptwoz) and Cesar Moreno (ttps://www.cesarmorenomandolin.com/)We’re excited to feature a Bluegrass Jam at our event! All musicians are welcome to join us and jam from 11 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 3 pm. (We will take a short intermission for the costume parade).

Costume Parade: Tentatively scheduled for 1:00 pm, we will be hosting a children’s costume parade, with prizes for attendees. Pollinator and nature-themed costumes are particularly welcome at this festival! (The meadow on site has over 90 native plant species that support native and migrating pollinators and other wildlife! Think bats, bees, butterflies and moths!)
