Objective
How can we make sure our urban forests are preserved for future generations of Brooklynites?
As a continuation of October’s tree preservation efforts, we’ll be putting our street tree care plan into action. Our first step will be weeding, decompacting, mulching, and watering two tree beds on President Street. We’ll then create signage to identify tree species, encourage pedestrians to respect the plantings within tree beds, remind pet owners to curb their dogs, and offer neighbors guidance on how to care for the trees.
What’s Included:
- Tree Map
- Gardening gloves
- Gardening tools
What To Bring
- Closed-toed shoes
- Attire you don’t mind getting dirty
