About Facilitators

Michael Cafiero is an ecological landscape designer passionate about connecting people, plants, and place. Confronting a rapidly changing planet, he designs for climate adaptation and ecosystem diversity, fully embracing the complexity of the living world.

Objective

Get to know your tree neighbors, with your human (and more than human) neighbors. We’ll be strolling through Brower Park to identify the trees that provide shade, ecologies, and homes for species of all kinds. We’ll be learning how to identify and care for trees, sharing stories of their cultural histories, and discussing our shared future with them in a time of unprecedented global ecosystems change. This workshop will be Part 1 of 2 just before peak-autumn color! Get a preview of our trees by checking out the NYC Tree Map.
